Hi, I’m Michael.

I’m a musician, photographer and videographer and I prefer to share my creative work free of charge without relying on ads and paywalls. Who likes ads and paywalls anyway?

If you'd like to support me in doing so you've come to the right place! I welcome you to help me keep fresh strings on my guitar, it's an 8-string guitar so lots of strings to keep fresh! I wouldn't mind being able to put some food on the table as well, but mainly I find it encouraging to get donations for my content no matter how small the contribution might be :)

Why do I share my work for free?

I'm a fan of free and open-source software (FOSS). I'm writing this from a Linux computer in a Firefox browser, not to mention LiberaPay itself is FOSS. It's not only inspiring to me that people generously share their work for free, but FOSS like Guitarix, RawTherapee/Darktable and Gimp/Krita are tools that are of great use in my creative endeavors!

In a world full of greed, it's almost rebellious to give something away without pay. I've always been kind of a rebel, that's why I like to share my work free of charge under the CC BY-SA 4.0 and CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 licenses. This means that anyone can use my content in their own work, as long as they provide appropriate credit, indicate what, if any, changes were made to the content and share their work under the same licenses.
