I'm the guy behind The Linux Gamer
Who are you, what's this all about?
My name is Gardiner. I run The Linux Gamer, a video series about (you guessed it) Linux and video games. You can find my work over on YouTube and Twitch. There's a ton about me that I'm not going to list here. But what's relevant to this campaign is: I am a life-long gamer who has, for the past decade, called Linux my home.
The Linux Gamer has been known to feature:
- Reviews of Linux video games
- Opinions on Linux-y issues
- News from the open source world
- Comedy (arguably)
- Evangelizing Linux as a viable gaming platform
- Tutorials for Linux-type things
- Hardware modifications
RONCETH is my guide when it comes to The Linux Gamer. Producing videos in these categories enables me to have a well-rounded breadth of content.
I've been producing TLG for over three years, now. In that time I've learned a thing or two:
- Levity is important
- Never read YouTube comments on a video that's one week old or older
- Do what you love and be yourself, everything else comes naturally
Speaking of levity:
Okay, so now you want my money?
Only if you're cool with sharing. I understand that some people feel weird about crowd funding in general. That's okay. But if you're here, that means we probably share a common interest.
If you like what I do, you can always support TLG by sharing videos, talking about the channel with your friends, and of course, disabling AdBlock.
But yeah, if you want to support the show with cold hard cash, (and the warm, fuzzy feeling of participating in crowdfunding campaigns isn't enough of a reward on its own) here's your chance.
I put my heart and soul into The Linux Gamer. I try my best to make content that's fun, thoughtful, and informative. If you like the work that I do, maybe toss a buck or two my way. It all helps!
You already have a Patreon, why Liberapay?
Because Patreon has proven itself hostile to creators and I am exploring other avenues.
