James Collier is creating tools useful for (computational) biologists.
Hello, my name is James Collier. I'm the author of Super, a program to quickly search for oligopeptide fragments.
In my day job, I create embedded firmware for medical devices. But my passion is creating useful, high performance software for scientific research. Unfortunately, my full-time job draws most of my attention leaving little time to work on the projects I'm passionate about. If you find any of my projects useful, please consider donating. I would greatly appreciate it.
Some of the projects I would like to be working on with your generous donations:
- Improvements to Super such as regex search.
- Development and release of liblcb, a general purpose C++ library for handling protein sequences and structures.
- Python integration to the above libraries to be more useful for bioinformaticians.
