A mutual aid initiative to provide laundry support to Philadelphia’s unhoused and housing-insecure neighbors. Donations are always needed!

Each month, approximately $2,500 is spent to provide laundry support to over 50 families throughout the Philadelphia community. We offer "Full Support" services, where volunteers pick up laundry to be done at the laundromat and returned washed, dried, and folded the same day. We also offer "Package" services, in which recipients communicate the amount of laundry they need to get done that week, and we supply detergent and coins for the laundromat.

Laundry is expensive and its importance can often be overlooked! Just one load of laundry can range from $5-$15 to be completed. PHL Laundry Support is constantly meeting new people that want to work with us or need laundry support. Due to this, the monthly expenses are steadily increasing. Creating new and lasting connections is a priceless part of PHL Laundry Support and we are in need of constant donations to keep this momentum going!
