Parabola is a Free Software and Free Culture project aiming to provide a fully freedom-respecting GNU+Linux distribution called Parabola GNU/Linux-libre.

Parabola GNU/Linux-libre is based on packages from ArchLinux (ArchLinux is in fact a GNU/Linux distribution) and possibly other Arch-based systems, with packages available for i686, x86_64, and armv7h CPUs. Parabola aims to keep its package and management tools simple. The primary goal is to give the user complete control over their system with 100% Free Software and Free Culture. Parabola GNU/Linux-libre is endorsed by the Free Software Foundation as a fully Free Software Distribution.

Development focuses on a balance of simplicity, elegance, and code-correctness with bleeding edge Free Software and a strong focus on user privacy.

Its lightweight and simple design makes it easy to extend and mold into whatever kind of system you're building.

This team account funds developers and artists working for the Parabola project.

We think that our developers and artists should be paid a reasonable amount for their efforts, and any excess could be given as bounty to part-time volunteers for fixing complex bugs, and/or to pay for infraestructure.

You can find us on #parabola at freenode IRC, on the mailing lists, GNU Social, and Reddit.
