Description

Hi! I’m abstract artist Rob Middleton. I prefer doing business with those who share my values of respecting privacy and consent, like this site for donations processing. I can also receive funds via Patreon, Ko-fi, Venmo, Paypal, Cash App, and Zelle.

My life's work is to spread humanism in a culture that's captive to violent dehumanization. I define humanism as respecting the dignity of all human beings as equal and deserving of sustenance and care. All humanity begins with the individual. My humanist journey began with abstract expressionist painting that encouraged mental, physical, and emotional healing by teaching me to accept and love imperfection. Humanism towards the self encompasses humility without shame, and self love without self aggrandizement. Ranking oneself higher (or lower) than others is against humanism. Extending love and respect equally to oneself and all others is the challenge, opportunity, and thrill of humanism. I call my personal philosophy humanissome to distinguish it from generic references to humanism. I say, "None of us has all the answers, but each of us has some. Human is some." Accepting and loving all humans while acknowledging our limitations is humanissome. In addition to abstract painting I express my views in writing and in videos. My preference is to give my work freely, and in ad-free environments as much as possible. Please see https://humanissome.org.

With additional support and a major lifestyle change, I hope to produce new content soon that charts the experience of moving midlife to another country. I also aspire to create a positive sci-fi solarpunk story. Project List as of April 2025.
