Docker images and deployment templates for Data Science
Statement
I dedicate about 20% of my time to open-source software and maintain docker images as well as deployment templates for Data Science.
- (GPU accelerated) Multi-arch docker images[^1]:
- (CUDA-enabled) JupyterLab R docker stack
- (CUDA-enabled) JupyterLab Python docker stack
- (CUDA-enabled) JupyterLab Julia docker stack
All JupyterLab images include- code-server
→ VS Code in the browser - Git
- Git LFS
- Pandoc
- Zsh
GPU accelerated images include - CUDA runtime,
CUDA math libraries,
NCCL and
cuDNN
- including development libraries and headers
- TensortRT and TensorRT plugin libraries
- including development libraries and headers
- code-server
- (CUDA-enabled) R docker stack
- (CUDA-enabled) Python docker stack
- (CUDA-enabled) Julia docker stack
Siblings[^2] of the JupyterLab images but without- code-server
- IRKernel/IPython/IJulia
- JupyterHub/JupyterLab
- Jupyter Notebook
- LSP Servers
- Oh My Zsh
- Widgets

- Customised Docker Hub images[^1][^3]:
- Containerised source-installations[^1]:
- Containerised installations[^1]:
- Docker deployment templates:
[^1]: Current os/arch
's: linux/amd64
, linux/arm64/v8
[^2]: Use cases (not exhaustive): Parent image, Dev container, CI pipeline
[^3]: Base images: Debian (slim): stable, oldstable; Ubuntu: current LTS, former LTS
These docker images and deployment templates are freely available. If they are of value to you, consider making a donation here. In this way, maintenance and extension can be ensured in the long term.
Thanks for your support!
Another 20% I devote to collaborating with start-ups. I am available to b-data GmbH as a Data Scientist, DevOps Engineer and Managing Director the remaining 60%.
I follow the development of
in order to maintain GHC for pandoc
(registry.gitlab.b-data.ch/ghc/ghc4pandoc
).
→ The multi-arch docker image used to build the amd64 and arm64 binary releases of pandoc.
