With the dream in mind of emission-free transocean/transcontinental travel and the love for the ocean and wind. I want to develop a sailing vessel type that is safe, fast, super versatile, long-lasting, and DIY-buildable. That anyone who wants to travel emission-free across oceans has a chance to do so. And that anyone who wants to live the nomade life at sea can have a purpose, a job as a ferryman while doing so. This is a very long-term project, and I have already worked for more than 2 years almost full-time on it, without any sponsorship. For 2023 and 2024 the second prototype will be tested, extensively sailed and the concept further improved. In late 2024 I am planning to scale up to a small workable ferry.

The concept, in short, is to combine a proa (a fast traditional sailboat from the Pacific) with the high-tech of a kite that can harness the wind much better than a traditional sail. The kite smoothens the motion of the boat while generating lots of power. The proa hull concept gives maximum boat-length and stability per build volume and therefore enables maximum speed and stability. This while having a sled-like shape not being vulnerable to objects at sea (e.g. partly submerged shipping containers) that could be hit at high speed without breakage.
