This is the official Liberapay page of the Macaroni OS Linux.

Macaroni OS Linux is a Linux distro that supplies a binary Linux OS that is easy to install and customize for the Desktop, Server and for the Container world (Incus/LXD, Docker, Singularity/Apptainer). Together with the binary distro supply also a low-level distro MARK at the moment based on Portage that uses mark-devkit tool to autogen new ebuilds and maintain kits and that could live together with the anise and anise-portage-converter tools to have both binary and source based packages.

In a world where there are tons of distro based on Debian/Ubuntu, Macaroni OS wants to be a start point to enjoy and study new technologies to maintain a distro!

We want cover all the aspect to create a distro from scratch, starting with Macaroni From Scratch (MFS), through MARK (with kits and Portage) and later with anise for binary as a replacer of apt-get/yum/zipper/etc.

Originally based on Funtoo now it's totally independent. A lot of things are in our plan and your help will support us to move ahead and improve.
