That might mean helping you set up a Mastodon or Friendica account, move away from platforms that harvest your data, or understand how decentralized networks actually work. It might mean going deeper: self-hosting your own server using something like YunoHost, running your own Matrix instance, or getting a handle on the practical basics of digital privacy — password management, two-factor authentication, encrypted messaging.

I've been in decentralized networking since the BBS and FidoNET days. The Fediverse felt immediately familiar. I self-host Snac, GoToSocial, Pleroma, Matrix, Prosody, and more, and I'm more than willing to help you do the same — or just help you take the first step away from the algorithm.

No fixed curriculum, no pressure. We go at your pace, starting exactly where you are.
