The small tools you actually use in class, gathered in a single app. You set up your classes once and the rest follows: draw a random student, build groups, start a timer that is readable from the back of the room.

The timer handles extra time natively, on a second parallel line for the students concerned. Group building takes the relationships between students into account and flags the incompatibilities you have entered.

Four choices held to since day one

• Offline. Everything works without internet, even in a room with no wifi. No feature depends on a connection.
• Free. No subscription, no in-app purchase, no advertising.
• Privacy respected. No account, no address to hand over. The information about your classes and your students stays on your phone and is never sold. The app only measures, anonymously and without any personal data, which features are used, so we know what to improve.
• Simple and fast. Usable standing up between two lessons, with no training.

Who makes it

One independent developer, in the evenings and at weekends. One secondary school teacher tests it, corrects it and reports the real need. That is the whole team.

Why this page

The app will stay free and ad-free. That is a commitment, not a launch phase. There are running costs all the same: Apple and Google developer accounts, a domain name, website hosting.

If La Boîte à Profs has saved you time and you want to chip in, this is the place. One or two euros is plenty. And if you would rather give nothing, the app is exactly the same: nothing is reserved for those who support it, no reward, no unlocked feature, no badge.
